Usage

Sable Marco® GU Cement is used in the preparation of concrete and mortar for residential construction and general-purpose applications where Type GU cement is appropriate.

Storage conditions

Store in a dry, covered area protected from the elements. If the product has been in contact with water or moisture or contains hardened lumps, do not use it.

Consumption

Yield

  • One 30 kg (66 lb) bag of Sable Marco® GU Cement produces about 0.08 m3 (2.7 ft3) of concrete mix.
  • One 40 kg (88 lb) bag of Sable Marco® GU Cement produces about 0.10 m3 (3.5 ft3) of concrete mix.

  

Note: Yield depends on the final application. These values are approximate and are based on the proportions suggested below. Actual yield may vary depending on mix design and water content.
Application steps

MIXING

Combine Sable Marco® GU Cement with the appropriate aggregates and clean, potable water according to the specific mix design. Mix thoroughly until a uniform and workable consistency is achieved. Avoid excess water to maintain optimal workability and strength.

  

For concrete mix, the following proportions (by volume) are recommended:

  • 1 part of Sable Marco® GU Cement
  • 2.5 parts of 19 mm (3/4 in) stone
  • 2.5 parts of concrete sand
  • 2 to 3 parts of clean, potable water
