Surfaces to be repaired must be free of dirt, dust, grease, and other contaminants. Remove all delaminated or unsound concrete by chipping with a hammer and chisel or using a stiff wire brush. Clean the area to be repaired with potable water, leaving the concrete saturated but free of standing water. Some very porous concretes may require several applications of water to ensure complete saturation.

Pour 3.0 L (0.79 US gal) of clean, potable water per 30 kg (66 lb) bag in a clean container. Gradually add the dry ingredients while mixing. Mix thoroughly until a uniform mixture is acheived. If the mixture is too thick, add a litte water at a time, taking care not to thin too much to acheive the desired consistency. Excess water reduces strength and can cause cracking. In cold weather, use warm water to accelerate the set. In hot weather, use cold water to slow the set.

• For new construction (slabs, walks, etc.), pour and consolidate the mixed concrete inside the forms, slightly overfilling and leveling. Use a trowel along the edges to remove air pockets and tap the forms for smoother sides. Level with a straight-edged board in a sawing motion. Once bleed water evaporates, finish as desired using a float for smooth surfaces or a broom for textured surfaces.
• For overlays and repairs, place and consolidate the mixed concrete in the repair area. Level with a straight-edged board, removing excess and filling low areas. Once bleed water evaporates, finish as desired using a float for smooth surfaces or a broom for textured surfaces. If repairing over a joint or break, tool the joint into the soft mixture with a jointer tool, to half the depth of the repair.
• For setting posts, position the post in the hole and fill with the concrete mixture and water until full. Align the post, lightly tamp or trowel the top to consolidate, and slope the surface to allow water to drain away. Sprinkle water if needed for finishing. 

Curing involves maintaining the right temperature and humidity levels. Allow the newly placed concrete to set, until the surface is hard to the touch. Protect the placed concrete from freezing, rain, sun and wind. keep the concrete covered to prevent evaporation.

Clean all tools and equipment immediately after use with water. Once hardened, material can only be removed manually or mechanically.
