Sable Marco® Rapid Post

Rapid-setting, pre-mixed concrete for post installation

Sable Marco® Rapid Post is a pre-blended, rapid-setting concrete material designed specifically for installing fence posts and poles. Simply pour the bag content into the hole, add water, and stir with a rod or stick. Sable Marco® Rapid Post sets within minutes, eliminating the need for bracing, and posts can be used after just 3 hours.

Usage

Sable Marco® Rapid Post is ideal for rapid-setting applications such as fence posts, mailbox posts, basketball poles, swing sets, and lamp posts. It is not suitable for constructing deck posts, walkways, floors, slabs, or footings.

Application steps

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

Setting posts: fence posts, mailbox posts, basket ball poles, swing sets and lamp posts.

  

Hole Preparation: Use a shovel or auger to dig the hole to the required depth, ensuring it extends below the frost line. Leave approximately 5 cm (2 in) of clearance on each side of the post. For a standard 10 cm × 10 cm (4 in × 4 in) post, a 20 cm (8 in) diameter hole is recommended.

  

Mixing and Placing: Position the post in the hole. Add Sable Marco® Rapid Post and water at the same time, use 2.8 L (0.74 US gal) of clean, potable water per 30 kg (66 lb) bag. Agitate the mix with a rod or stick. In cold conditions, use warm water to speed up the set. In hot conditions, use cold water to slow it down.

Use a level to align the post and check the vertical position. Bracing is not required. The mix will begin to stiffen almost immediately, do not rework once setting begins.

 

Curing: Allow the material to set until the surface is hard to touch. Then cover with plastic to prevent evaporation. The post can be used after approximately 3 hours.
